Nick Quah is the founder and proprietor of Hot Pod, an independent one-person media operation that covers the podcast industry through analyses, essays, and interviews. Its scope exists somewhere at the nexus of art, culture, commerce, and technological structure. Hot Pod is principally distributed as a weekly newsletter, but will carry itself out in other forms — including live events and its own audio program — soon enough. Previously, Quah was the audience development lead for Panoply, Slate's podcasting sister company, following short stints at BuzzFeed and Business Insider. He's originally from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, but currently considers himself a part-time American.
