Sarah is a freelance consultant currently working for the department of Media, Film and Music at the University of Sussex. She has been involved in radio and diversity (and passionately committed to both ) for 18 years including the following:

- BBC roots producer for 6 years (Gillard bronze in diversity)
- Former Director of Radio Reverb
- Written 2 radio plays for BBC Radio 4 and BBC Radio 3 directed by Jessica Dromgoole
- Co-founder of Brighton and Hove Black History Group
