Miia is the current station manager of SOAS Radio London. A Berlin-native, she moved to London for an MA in Music in Development in 2014 after completing a BA in Politics at the Free University of Berlin and having worked in music, film and TV. Miia started managing SOAS Radio in 2015 – an online radio station based at SOAS University London that has been broadcasting a wide range of global speech and music content for the last 10 years.

Inspired by the rise of independent radio stations in London and the recent online media discussions on sexism in broadcasting and DJ culture, Miia is currently writing her Masters dissertation on Gender & Independent Radio Stations in London.
