Marie works at the Roundhouse in Camden, where she gets to do all things audio, film and digital with young creatives and artists alike. She is responsible for the venues award winning youth-led online station, Roundhouse Radio which broadcasts the best new music and most creative spoken word, comedy, and drama direct from the underground studios. The Roundhouse works with over 3,000 under 25s every year and Marie works in the team responsible for providing training and professional opportunities for emerging talent in broadcast and digital. Marie specialises in producing and creating site specific audio experiences, most recently in partnership with Falling Tree and Nesta for FutureFest 2016.
Marie has worked in the audio industry for the last 12 years. After graduating from university she started out as a broadcast journalist and voiceover artist for stations in the Global network before moving into production and creating human interest documentaries for various independent production companies which lead to her work being heard on stations such as BBC Radio 1, Radio 4, Classic FM and overseas in America and Moldova. Marie has also been commissioned to write and produce a number of radio dramas and soundscapes as well as tutoring emerging writers and presenters at the Roundhouse, The Hampstead Theatre and Only Connect Theatre. During the last four years, Marie was also part of the team who launched youth-led station Reprezent on FM in South London and has gone onto train staff and young people at a number of youth based stations across the UK.
